HandyPerson Service

for the Third Sector

As part of GoodBuild, the construction and skills strand of Good Green Futures, we offer a dedicated handyman support service for charities, community groups and third sector organisations.

We know that many organisations are working with tight budgets and limited capacity. Small repairs and practical improvements, like  putting up shelving, minor joinery, fittings, and general maintenance, can often sit on a “to do” list for months, despite making a significant difference to how a space functions for staff, volunteers and service users.

Our handperson service provides reliable, commmunity-focused support to help organisations maintain safe, welcoming and functional environments

A Skills-Based Approach

Where appropriate, this service can be delivered as a supported learning opportunity for our volunteers. In these cases, the work may be offered free of charge, enabling individuals to gain hands-on experience, build confidence, and develop practical skills in a supervised setting.

Why do we take this approach?

Community organisations receive valuable practical support

Volunteers gain meaningful, real-world experience

Local skills and pathways into green employment are strengthened
