Donate Materials

IMG_6635.jpg

At Good Green Futures, we help contractors in Forth Valley reuse surplus materials instead of sending them to landfill.  We are based at the Stirling Reuse Hub and work in partnership with Transition Stirling to redirect good quality reusable items back into our community.

This project seeks to help reduce waste and offer a range of flexible employment opportunities for our community. It received funding in 2024 through Scotland's International Environment Centre, a program delivered by the University of Stirling. The Centre itself is part of the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal, and is funded by a £17 million investment from the Scottish Government and £5 million from the UK Government.

We seek to build relationships with organisations in the construction, DIY, renewables, and related sectors.

Why Reuse Matters

Surplus materials are common on site due to over-ordering, breakages, or changes in project scope. Without an easy reuse option, many usable materials end up in skips. By donating these materials, you reduce waste, free up space, and support local community projects.

Research from Zero Waste Scotland reveals the construction sector's significant contribution to Scotland's waste: at least 50%
