GoodBuild is Scotland’s first community construction reuse hub. We're proud to be a project of Good Green Futures.
We collect surplus and reusable building materials from construction companies, tradespeople, and households, then make them available to the public at affordable prices.
By donating or buying from GoodBuild, you’re helping reduce waste, create training and volunteering opportunities, and make DIY more accessible for everyone.
We accept donations from both businesses and individuals.
If you have usable surplus or leftover materials, there are two easy ways to donate:
Drop them off at Stirling Reuse Hub during opening hours
Book a collection for larger or bulk items (subject to location and capacity)
Before donating, please contact our team at enquiries@goodgreenfutures.org.uk or 01786 644396 with details or photos of your items. We’ll confirm what we can accept and arrange the best way to receive them.
We’re looking for safe, reusable construction and DIY materials that are clean, undamaged, and ready to use.
Examples include:
Timber and sheet materials
Bricks, blocks, and paving
Doors, windows, and ironmongery
Insulation and pipework (unused or sealed)
Paint, adhesives, and sealants (full and unopened)
Tools and equipment
Electrical items in good working order
Plumbing and bathroom fittings
Kitchen units, worktops, and tiles
If you’re not sure whether your items are suitable, just ask. We’re always happy to help!
We wish we could take everything, but the reality is this isn't always practical. To keep our volunteers and staff safe and ensure materials are reusable, we can't accept any of the following:
Asbestos or materials that may contain asbestos
Hazardous or chemical waste
Gas appliances
Items that are broken, dirty, or incomplete
Paint tins that are opened, dried out, or less than half full
We may also pause accepting some items on occasion depending on our capacity. We'll communicate this as clearly as we can, but sometimes this will happen at short notice.
The short answer - yes!
The slightly longer answer - we are actively building partnerships with local construction firms, trades, housing associations and suppliers to reduce waste and build a circular local economy. Partnerships can include:
Regular materials donations
Joint training or volunteering opportunities
Sustainability reporting and recognition
