​​​Goods In Co-ordinator

​Salary: £26k

This is a full-time opportunity (job share available) for 6 months.  We are looking for a team player, who is physically fit and a good communicator.  The position will be based at the Stirling Reuse Hub.  

​

The role will involve:

​

Job Role·

​

  • Building positive relationships with local organisations that may wish to donate surplus goods.·

  • Collecting items, weighing items in and preparing items for re-sale.·

  • Co-ordinating and supporting a small team of staff and volunteers·

  • Sharing skills with the community​

 

This role may be of particular interest to individuals that are interested in supporting the start-up of an organisation.

 

Requirements (Essential)·

​

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Reasonably fit

  • Full driving license

 

Requirements (Preferential)·â€‹

​

  • Experience of the building/ construction/ DIY or associated sectors e.g. trades·

  • An interest in the climate emergency·

  • Community minded.·

  • An interest in sharing skills with the community e.g. wood reuse/ electrical repairs.

 

The role is currently temporary for 6 months, extension of the contract is dependent upon the success of the project.

Creative Construction Merchandiser and Customer Service

Salary: £26k

Deadline: 28th November 2024

We are looking for a team player that is a good communicator and interested in story-telling and helping customers.  This role is based at the Stirling Reuse Hub.  The role is full-time, but if you are looking to work part-time, please indicate this on your application.

​

The role will involve:​

​

  • Building relationships with local organisations that may wish to donate surplus goods.

  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and social media

  • Creating imaginative shopfloor displays of pre-loved items

  • Social media

  • Supporting staff and volunteers

  • Ensuring that customers have a positive experience

  • Sharing skills e.g. woodwork/ DIY (preferable, but not essential)

 

This role may be of particular interest to individuals that enjoy working as part of a small team and are interested in supporting the start-up of an organisation.

​

Requirements (Essential)

​

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Patient and understanding

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Enjoys creative merchandising

  • Reasonably fit to lift stock

  • Proficient with Microsoft and using social media

​

Requirements (Preferential)

​

  • Experience of the building/ construction/ DIY or associated sectors e.g. trades

  • An interest in the climate emergency and taking practical steps to make a difference.

  • Full driving licence

  • Community minded.

  • An interest in sharing skills e.g. wood reuse/ electrical repairs

Flexible Paid Employment Opportunities

Hourly Rate: £12 per hour

 

We have a range of flexible paid opportunities available. The flexible employment opportunities are available to people that have a barrier to ‘conventional’ employment.  If you have a disability/ medical condition/ caring commitments that prevent you from working full-time, but feel that you still have a lot to give.  We have opportunities to fit around your current commitments.

The maximum number of hours per role is 10, there is no minimum.

 

We will work with successful candidates to ensure that any income earned from the role does not affect benefits received.

​

The role(s) can be tailored to the skills and interests of successful applicants. We can be flexible with working hours e.g. shorter working days, flexible shifts, working from home when required, etc.

​

  • Teaching woodwork skills

Good Green Futures pay the Real Living Wage of £12 per hour.

These opportunities were funded though Scotland’s International Environment Center, delivered by the University of Stirling as part of the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal, the Environment Centre is funded through an investment of £17m from the Scottish Government and £5m from the UK Government.
